This CPD course is designed for dental nurses working in practice and wider dental team settings. It supports GDC Development outcomes A and B by addressing communication, professional behaviour, teamwork, patient care and self-management under pressure. Support arrangements vary across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, so follow local workplace policy and local or national services where relevant.

This course does not train dental nurses to provide CBT as therapy. It introduces straightforward CBT-informed techniques to help notice unhelpful thought patterns, challenge assumptions and respond more calmly during busy or emotionally demanding work.
