These official sources underpin the course content and are useful for supervision, plan review and refresher learning. NICE guidance informs practice for autism, ADHD and looked-after children; England SEND, equality and and residential-care documents are signposted where they affect day-to-day support.

For day-to-day practice, follow the child's current plan and local procedures first. Use these sources when support, escalation or review requires stronger evidence.
