Welcome

This course is for UK GP receptionists, care navigators, call handlers and frontline admin staff who support patients from different backgrounds, communities and with varied access needs.
Equality, diversity and inclusion in general practice have practical effects on how patients are welcomed, how barriers are identified, how communication needs are recorded, and whether people can use the route offered to them.
Practical focus
- Equality and inclusion in everyday GP access.
- Protected characteristics, fairness and reasonable adjustments.
- Respectful communication and avoiding assumptions.
- Responding to discrimination, access barriers and repeated exclusion.
